A 19-year-old from Montgomery died Saturday morning in a one vehicle crash at 3:36-am.
It happened when a pick-up was southbound on Daviess County Road 650-east and according to a witness passed a vehicle and then ran off the west side of the road. The ’08 Ford F250 went into a field and turned over. Five occupants were ejected.
19-year-old Madison Wagler was one of the passengers and as taken to St. Mary’s in Evansville where he later succumbed to injuries.
The driver, Jerald Swartzentruber of Washington was listed in critical condition at an Evansville Hospital.
Accident reports say that 19-year-old Destiny Wagler of Montgomery had a leg injuries, while 18-year-old Gage Miller of Montgomery, and 20-year-old Austin Swartzentruber of Loogootee both suffered internal injuries and were listed as stable after being taken to hospitals.
Toxicology reports are still pending but alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
