One man has been arrested and another suspect is being sought in connection with an investigation in Dubois County.

It began on Sunday when the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint that a juvenile had been forced to ingest meth at an East 36th Street residence in Jasper last Friday.

On Monday, deputies went to the home to check on the complainant and to verify that Willie Montgomery, a registered sex offender, was living at the home.  It was determined that Montgomery was not in compliance with his requirements and had an outstanding balance toward his registration.  Authorities say they discovered that Montgomery was living there and was in the process of correcting his registry status.

After that, police talked to Montgomery about the meth complaint and were given consent to search the property.  Meth precursors were found and Montgomery was jailed for manufacturing meth and possession of paraphernalia.  A warrant has been issued for another subject allegedly involved.
