8th District Congressman Larry Bucshon thinks President Obama is on the wrong track in his efforts to curb the gun use in the United States.. Bucshon says the House Energy and Commerce committee of which he is a member are looking at a number of reforms that would keep guns out of the hands of those deemed mentally ill.

Bucshon says the President’s plan to restrict gun ownership in the United States through executive order is wrong and is an attempt to circumvent the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.  He says criminals are still finding ways to purchase weapons even in cities like Chicago which has some of the most stringent control laws in the country. Obama has issued an executive order that would require gun dealers whether they work from their home, own a store or online to be licensed in order to sell guns and conduct background checks of the individuals looking to purchase them..
