The Daviess County Council met this morning and chose Mike Myers and Jo Arthur to be Council President and Vice President respectively.
In regular business in the first meeing of the year the Council approved reimbursement for unused sick days for two retiring highway department employees in Daviess County. The Council also approved several additional appropriations in regard to receipt of grant money for Emergency Management equipment, E-911 funds for a service contract for Sheriff’s Department radios, reimbursement for vaccines from the Health Department, and funds from several bonds.
Also approved was a request from the Highway Department for an additional appropriation for property improvement. And, Councilman Mike Sprinkle agreed to serve as the Council’s representative on a county highway review committee.
