Robert K. Quinn, 81, died at 6:26 a.m. Friday at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born May 13, 1934, in Daviess County, he was the son of Forrest and Mildred (Palmer) Quinn.
He was a captain in the Washington Fire Department and retired after 26 years. He worked part-time at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home from 1970 to 2005. He was a member of Central Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Parker) Quinn, whom he married May 13, 1973; daughters Debbie (Kelly) Wilson of Naples, Florida, and Pam (Dean) Harrawood of Montgomery; stepdaughter Vicky (Don) Keifenheim of Alexandria, Louisiana; stepson Kenneth (Penny) Keller of Evansville; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Carl (Pat) Quinn of Washington and Ray (Paulette) Quinn of Martinsville.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one stepgranddaughter, Brandie Moyer.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Bro. Jim Payton officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
