School Board makes more start of the year appointments

The Washington School Board had its second called meeting this week to work on last minute personnel issues.

The Board approved and accepted the resignation of veteran elementary teacher Emily Davis.  Board President Steve Frette commented the corporation hates to see her go.

The board then filled three open positions.  Chad Smith was approved as Technology Director.  Smith replaces Todd Riker, who has accepted a position in the Indianapolis area.  The board also approved hiring Zachary Lacy as Computer Tech Assistant, and Ashleigh Dubon-Ayala  as an elementary teacher.
