New Crane Army commander to take command in June

Col. Jim Hooper will be the 17th commander of Crane Army Ammunition Activity located on Naval Support Activity Crane.


In making the announcement, Crane reports Hooper, currently serves as the Chief of Staff of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command’s Operational Command Post located in Kuwait.
Is a distinguished graduate of the Army ROTC program at Lafayette College, was commissioned as an Ordnance Officer in 1992.
Hooper will replace Col. Joe Dixon who has been selected to serve at the U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Hood, Texas.
The change of command is expected to take place in June.
