The National Weather Service instructed  a weather spotters class Wednesday put on by the Daviess and Knox County Emergency Management Agencies.

NWS Meteorologist Dave Tucek presented the Sky Warn Storm Spotter presentation…

Tucek was in town earlier in the day Wednesday and assessed some damage done by last week’s storm in the southeast portion of Daviess County that did some damage.  Severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings were issued during the event.    Tucek was helping in determining whether that storm was a tornado or not

Tucek said the best thing we can do when severe weather is threatening is to pay attention.  Keep tabs on what’s happening through local radio and your preferred weather service.
