A Jasonville man is in custody after fleeing police, nearly drowning and then fleeing a hospital.

On Wednesday, Jasonville Police Officer Brian Pilan & Assistant Police Chief Ryan Van Horn went to a residence in Greene County to arrest 20-year-old Logyn Cazee on a felony warrant for Possession of Meth.

Cazee fled the scene in a vehicle then exited on foot and jumped into a lake. He swam out approximately 40 feet and began to struggle. Van Horn jumped in the lake to rescue Cazee and Officer Pilant used a long branch to pull the two back to shore.

Once back to shore, Cazee had no pulse and Van Horn began CPR.

Once his pulse was restored, he was transported by Greene County Ambulance to Sullivan County Community Hospital.

Officers were notified early Thursday morning that Cazee had walked away from the hospital.

Officers eventually found him hiding behind a couch in a garage at a Jasonville residence.
