Christina Ruth

Christina Ruth (Gabhart) Roach, 84, of Washington, passed away Wednesday Nov. 21, 2018, at 4:35 p.m. at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.

She was born in Alfordsville on Dec. 14, 1933, to Howard Gabhart and Enid (Baker) Gabhart.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, loved making quilts and painting murals in store windows, reading poetry and sewing. Christina was a U.S. Air Force veteran, member of the Bride of Christ Church in Mitchell and the Mitchell American Legion Post 250.

Survivors include her children, Myra (Louis) Braucci of Coppers Cove, Texas, Bobbi (Dan) Sosh of Mitchell, Melissa (Mike) McLean of Jeffersonville, Rhonda Roach of Washington, Frederick (Delores) Roach of Livingston, Tennessee, Christopher (Shannon) Roach of Lawrenceville, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers Thomas Gabhart and Philip Gabhart; sisters Margaret Kennedy, Amy Gardner, Georgia Prewett, Mary Bell, Martha Brammer, Lorna Cook, Annie Snyder and Sarah Mathis
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Gabhart and Wyndam Gabhart; grandson Johnathon Herrington; and two great-grandsons, Ethan Voorhies and Lance Dietsch.

Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford, with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Military rites will be given by the Mitchell American Legion Post 250.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 26, from 11a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
