Drug arrests in Washington and Vincennes; 18 year old charged with killing a cat…

-Four people were jailed for marijuana possession in Daviess County. Washington Police arrested 34-year-old Thomas Wirts III and 53-year-old Bradley Lawyer of Washington , 53-year-old Kevin Lawyer of Plainville and 26-year-old Danielle Wiscaver of Lyons overnight.   All are charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and nuisance offenses..   Wirts is also charged with Domestic Battery and Wiscaver faces an additional charge of Possession of a Syringe. Wiscaver’s bond was $2500, no bond was set for the others.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested 31-year-old David Akers of Washington yesterday for Driving While Suspended with a Prior.

-52-year-old Kevin Byrer of Odon was arrested by State Police for Operating While Intoxicated and Conspiracy.

-Vincennes police were called to the report of a burglary in the 700 block of Buntin at 6:50 last night.  Upon investigation, 32-year-old Justin Osborn of Vincennes was arrested on Felony counts of Burglary and Residential Entry.

-At 5pm in the same location, police investigated a drug complaint and charged 21-year-old Breana London and 32-year-old Brittany Burgess both of Vincennes on misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.  They also face Felony counts of Possession of Meth, a Legend Drug and a Syringe and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  London had an additional misdemeanor charge of Possession of a Synthetic Drug.

 

An 18 year old has been arrested in connection with a ring of cat thefts in Vincennes.  A resident at 10th and Oak managed to get video of someone stealing her cat.  They identified them as teens who they allege killed the animal and threw it in the river.   18-year-old Denzel Early has been charged with Killing a Domestic Animal which is a Level 6 Felony.  He was also charged with Misdemeanor Theft. An unnamed juvenile was also charged in the case.
