Washington Mayor Joe Wellman reports the the city is evaluating its facilities.

That consultant is Architectural Design Concepts who would assess the situation and report back. The cost for that is $10,500.

The mayor said the talk started when the county discussed the possibility of combining the city police and county sheriff’s department dispatch center.  He say there has been talk of putting the combined dispatch center in city hall and moving the clerk’s and utilities office somewhere else. Council members David Dahl, Allen Brown and Mike Singleton are on a committee exploring possibilities.  The Mayor also said the city has been talked to about using some buildings on Main.  Councilman Dahl recently toured the former GAB building owned by the county.
