Father and daughter flown out following Saturday’s crash
A father and daughter were flown to separate hospitals following a Saturday afternoon ATV crash in Martin County. Conservation officers report that at 2:30pm, the ATV was north on East River Road near Shoals. They say excessive speeding is believed to have caused the vehicle to lose control and flip multiple times. 45-year-old David Lents and his daughter, Brittany were both ejected. Mr. Lents was flown by Life-Flight to St. Mary’s in Evansville with internal injuries. Brittany was flown to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville. A news release says her injuries were minor. She was wearing a helmet which authorities say likely prevented head trauma and facial injuries.
