Vincennes man escapes injury after his mustang flips over and over….woman hit with a bag of money…..man enters a sleeping residents home……passed out man discovered in a backyard…..

 

A Vincennes man escaped injury after his Mustang rolled several times on State Road 257 in Washington Sunday night.

56-year-old Michael B. Clark of Seminary Street in Vincennes was driving northbound in an ’08 Mustang and told authorities he did not know what happened.  He went of the west side of the road into a private yard and the car hit and broke a small pine tree in half.  The car turned over several times landing upright.

Clark was wearing a seatbelt and the air bag deployed and he was not injured.  The car was totaled.

 


 

A girls bike was reported stolen from an Oak Street residence on Sunday.

Police responded to Washington Towers Sunday afternoon at 12:30.  There was a report that a male and female juvenile had thrown flower pots and chairs from the 8th and 9th floor balconies.  No one was injured but reports say there was a huge mess.  The two were said to have left on bicycles.  Video footage is being reviewed an investigation continues.

A city truck was reported involved in a hit and run accident over the weekend.  The truck was hit by another vehicle that left the scene.  Police received a call at 2:16pm that the suspect vehicle was back at the park. After  a check it appeared the suspect vehicle matched the description and damage sustained in the crash.  Charges are pending.

At 2:15 on Sunday it was reported a man entered a home on South Meridian while the resident was sleeping.  Police were called and it was discovered footprints indicating someone had ran out the back door.  The resident’s vehicle had also been ransacked.

A lawn mower and leaf blower were reported tkane from a West Van Trees residence Sunday.

 

Police received a call Saturday from Southwest 1st concerning a woman who had been struck in the head and was lying in the road. Police found out the woman had been involved in a fight with another woman over money.  The victim had been hit in the head with a back of money.  The investigation continues.

A man called police Saturday morning and reported a man passed out in the backyard of his West VanTrees home.  The man refused medical treatment when police arrived and was found to be a work release inmate.  He was taken back to work release.
