SUMMARY:2021 Watermelon Festival
DESCRIPTION:Another local event is returning\, after taking a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.\nThe Watermelon Festival returns this Friday\, August 6th\, in Vincennes and starts at 5:00 pm.\nFirst City Music will hit the stage at 6:00 pm and Vincennes Brewing Company will be hosting an outdoor beer garden from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.\nSign-ups are also available at the Knox County Chamber of Commerce for the 5K race\, beauty pageants\, and the three-on-three basketball tournament.\nThere will be various food vendors\, craft booths\, games\, and inflatables on site.\nThe annual Watermelon Eating Contest begins at 7:00 pm.\nThe festival is free\, but donations are welcome to help support the kids’ activities.\nIt’s all happening this Friday at Patrick Henry Square in downtown Vincennes.
