EMS Week

  • Happy EMS WEEK! America’s 46th annual salute to its emergency medical providers.
  • As thousands fell ill and society ground to a near-halt in an unprecedented epidemic, EMS providers kept doing what they do: They kept turning up for work, kept answering calls, and kept providing the best possible care despite uncertainty and risk to themselves.
  • Daviess Community Hospital EMS staff are key members of the DCH family, and perform critical duties inside the hospital, as well as in the community.
  • They cover Daviess County through 3 base locations (2 trucks/crews in Washington, 1 truck/crew in Odon, and 1 truck/crew in Cannelburg)
  • All trucks/stations are staffed 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week
  • They have responded to over 3,500 ambulance requests since beginning in late 2019
  • They collaborate with surrounding county EMS agencies through mutual aid agreements
  • They are active in Indiana’s District 10 Emergency Preparedness District (D10)
