Happy EMS WEEK! America’s 46th annual salute to its emergency medical providers.
As thousands fell ill and society ground to a near-halt in an unprecedented epidemic, EMS providers kept doing what they do: They kept turning up for work, kept answering calls, and kept providing the best possible care despite uncertainty and risk to themselves.
Daviess Community Hospital EMS staff are key members of the DCH family, and perform critical duties inside the hospital, as well as in the community.
They cover Daviess County through 3 base locations (2 trucks/crews in Washington, 1 truck/crew in Odon, and 1 truck/crew in Cannelburg)
All trucks/stations are staffed 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week
They have responded to over 3,500 ambulance requests since beginning in late 2019
They collaborate with surrounding county EMS agencies through mutual aid agreements
They are active in Indiana’s District 10 Emergency Preparedness District (D10)
