Knox County Sheriff’s Office Announces Promotions & New Officers

A Knox County Sheriff’s Department Deputy has been promoted.
At Monday’s Knox County Sheriff’s Merit Board meeting, the board voted 5-0 in favor of promoting Deputy Kyle Gilmore to the rank of Captain.
Kyle joined the Sheriff’s office in 2019.
The Sheriff’s Department says congratulations Kyle and says keep up the good work.
In addition, Knox County Circuit Court Judge Sherry Gregg Gilmore swore in new members at the department yesterday.
They include Deputy Matt McCormick and his new K-9 partner Zeno and Deputy David Bruner and his new K-9 partner Goran.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says Zeno, Goran, and their partners recently completed their training and are out keeping Knox County safer.
