An Evansville liquor store employee told police she was forced into a freezer during an armed robbery.
A woman working at the Liquor Locker on Riverside Drive called police just after midnight Thursday and said she’d been robbed at gunpoint.
Surveillance video obtained by police shows a man come into the store with a gun in his hands. In the video, the man forces the woman to open the store’s safe while pointing the gun at her.
Police say he then ordered her to fill a trash bag with money from the registers before demanding she get into the freezer.
The man then ran out the back door and got into the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle.
