Washington Community Schools and the ALICE Training Institute have teamed up to bring ALICE Instructor Certification Training to Washington.
The classes will be held on October 14 & 15, 2021.
ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.
Officials say it is a valuable strategy used to increase chances of survival in a violent critical incident, such as, an active shooter situation.
This two-day Instructor Certification course will be held at Washington High School.
Completing the course provides individuals with certification in ALICE proactive strategies and allows them the opportunity to bring those same strategies back to their organization.
Additionally, registrants will gain access to exclusive resources.
ALICE is aligned with recommendations from the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Health and Human Services, among many others.
