The Board of Works and Safety met immediately following The Washington City Council meeting last night.
The Board approved a closing on Main Street from East 3rd to East 4th and East 4th from Main to South Street.
Roads will be closed from 4 pm to 7 pm on Saturdays beginning July, 17th.
The closures are for the Knights of Columbus Treasure Hunt.
Board members also heard a request from residents in the 1700 and 1800 blocks of McCormick Avenue.
They were requesting a stop sign at one of those intersections or the intersection with NW 21st Street.
Residents said the traffic is moving too fast and they are concerned about the safety of the children in the area.
The Board agreed to investigate.
