An Evansville man is accused of raping a minor.
Police arrived to Vienna Road Monday after being informed that a 14-year-old girl had been raped by a man who lived in the area.
Police interviewed the victim with the help of Holly’s House.
The victim told police 22-year-old Dakota Pagett was drinking and making inappropriate comments to her.
The victim said she got up to use the restroom during the night, but Pagett blocked her in the hallway.
Police say that’s when Pagett entered the victim’s room and started raping her.
He finally stopped when the victim grabbed a knife.
Pagett is now in the Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with rape and sexual misconduct with a minor.
