According to the Martin County Journal, The Martin County Health Department will begin giving out the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, January 12th. This vaccine requires two doses administered at least 28 days apart. Clinic times will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday in January. The vaccine will be available to people age 80 and older, in addition to licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers and first responders. The vaccine is available by appointment only for eligible individuals. Appointments can be scheduled at https://ourshot.in.gov. Vaccinations are free, however, your insurance may be charged an administration fee. Individuals need to bring along a photo ID and an insurance card if they have one. Healthcare workers and first responders need to bring a photo ID and verification of current employment as a healthcare worker or first responder.
