ISP Jasper Post welcomes new troopers

The Indiana State Police Jasper Post is welcoming two new troopers. 36 probationary troopers graduated from the 80th Indiana State Police Academy on December 19. Two of those probationary troopers are assigned to the Indiana State Police in Jasper. Probationary troopers now begin their next phase of instruction, a three-month field training period riding with veteran troopers. Upon completing field training, the troopers will be assigned a state police patrol vehicle and begin solo patrol.  Jasper’s new probationary troopers are Tyler Trueblood, a native of Lawrence County, and Jacob Lauer, a native of Spencer County. Upon completion of field training, Trueblood and Lauer will be assigned patrol duties in the Jasper District.
