Two White River Valley seniors killed in fatal crash

Two students at White River Valley High School were killed in a fatal crash Friday morning in Knox County. The crash happened around 7 a.m. on SR 63 south of Edwardsport. The Knox County Sheriff’s Department reports a dump truck driven by Terry Fish of Linton collided with an SUV with 17-year old Ethan Hayes of Switz City and 18 year old Braidon Haton of Worthingron. Police say Hayes crossed the center line and hit the dump truck head-on.
Hayes and Haton were both seniors this year at White River Valley and were both pronounced dead at the scene. Fish was not injured in the crash. Arrangements for the two students will be announced at a later date. White River Valley Superintendent Bob Hacker announced counselors will be available at the school today from 10am to noon.
