A car crash left one vehicle disabled on railroad tracks with an oncoming train over the weekend. A Chevrolet Impala was stopped at a stop sign on Van Buren Street Friday afternoon. The driver failed to see an oncoming car and hit a Chevrolet Cobalt heading eastbound on State Road 64. The Impala came to a stop on nearby railroad tracks while there was an oncoming train. Officials attempted to alert the Dubois County Communication Center to stop all rail traffic, but the train wasn’t notified in time. The driver of the Impala was able to get out of the car before the train pushed it 15 feet.
