Someone is pointing lasers at aircraft flying over Greene County. The Sheriff’s Department in Bloomfield is asking the public for information to help them find who it is.
Authorities say that this month and back in March that 3rd shift Greene County Deputies received multiple complaints from the Terre Haute Federal Aviation Administration regarding the lasers being pointed at pilots flying over the county which is a federal crime let alone dangerous as pilots could lose control and possibly have their eyes damaged. The crime is punishable by up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
Anyone with information regarding the incidents is being asked to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
