Mid-States Corridor materials now available

Project handouts and questionnaires on the Mid States Corridor Project are now available at area libraries and online.
Last week, a series of hearings on the planned connector road from Rockport to a point at I69 at Washington, Crane or Bloomington were held across the region. The materials that were available at the hearings can now be found and viewed at libraries in Washington, Loogootee and throughout Dubois and Greene Counties in our immediate listening area.  You can also view and print them out at MidStatesCorridor.com.     We talked with Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Director Joe Morris at the Loogootee hearing about the two possible routes that would connect to Washington.   Some say it’s all about creating more traffic to attract business and industry.  Morris says the area needs to work together to accomplish that and other goals..

All who want to comment on the project are encouraged to fill out the questionnaires.   They must be turned in by March 23rd.
