Beatrice “Bea” (Koogler) Gunder

Beatrice “Bea” (Koogler) Gunder, 79, of Washington, passed away at 6:56 pm Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington.
She was born October 25, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to Allen and Evelyn (Tipton) Koogler.
Bea had worked in food preparation at Ponderosa and had also served as secretary for Grace Baptist Church. Bea enjoyed being a homemaker and playing rummikub, checkers, and other games with her family.
Surviving are her husband Russell “Russ” Gunder whom she married August 29, 1959; a son, Daniel Gunder and his wife Mary Ann of Terre Haute; a sister Sharon Wilcoxson of Castle Rock, Colorado; her grandchildren, Nathan Gunder and his wife Cheyanne, Sarah Neikirk, Kara Brooking and her husband Nathan, Josh Gunder, Jeremy Gunder; and her great grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Marissa Neikirk, Mackenzie Neikirk, Kinsley Brooking, and Charlotte “Charlie” Brooking.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; a son James Gunder; and an infant twin sister Barbara Koogler.
Funeral services will be from 2:00 Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Louis Showers officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Veale Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Monday January 13, 2020 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home in Washington and Tuesday from Noon until the service at the Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grace Baptist Church.  Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Bea Gunder.
