Six women received Women in Business awards at the first ever such event to honor women for their work.
The six were divided into various categories. The winners were Elaine Wellman for Government, Terri Kelso for Small Business, Tara Brower for Financial Services, Luann Stoll for Education, Dr. Lana Helms for Healthcare and Becky Kremp for non-profit. There were a total of 30 nominees.
The special speaker was Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch. The event was put on by the Washington Times Herald Newspaper.
