Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday involving a Terre Haute police officer.
Officers were searching for a suspect wanted on a warrant out of Vigo County. Officers located the suspect who fled in his car. After a short pursuit, officers attempted to box the suspect in with their vehicles but the suspect began ramming the police vehicles with his car. Officers broke out the suspect‘s side windows and used a stun gun.
The suspect is believed to have made an aggressive threatening move with his hands inside the vehicle which caused a Terre Haute Police officer to fire his weapon. The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital.
