Daviess Community Hospital is expanding services and investing in new healthcare offerings for the region, according to hospital officials. CEO Justin Harris says the hospital recently celebrated the opening of a new Women’s Health Center, which will provide expanded OB-GYN services locally for the first time. Officials say the addition addresses a growing need for women’s healthcare in rural communities, allowing patients to receive care closer to home. The hospital has also announced new partnerships to expand orthopedic services, including surgery, pain management, and podiatry, with those services expected to begin in early May. In addition, DCH is continuing to grow its specialty pharmacy operations, which now serve patients beyond the local area and even into other states. Hospital leaders say the goal is to improve access to care, reduce the need for travel, and continue building healthcare services in Daviess County.
