Our Community Foundation has awarded a second-semester Teaching Innovator Grant to Washington Catholic Schools. The $250 grant will support “The Little Sprout Project,” an initiative to create an outdoor learning space with a raised garden for preschool students. Teacher Hannah McCain accepted the award and was recognized as a Teaching Innovator. The project will give students hands-on opportunities to learn about plant growth, nature, and environmental awareness while building teamwork and motor skills.
