Princeton Man Injured After 135 MPH Motorcycle Crash

A Princeton man was seriously injured Thursday night after crashing while fleeing from police at a high rate of speed in Gibson County. According to Indiana State Police, a trooper observed a motorcycle traveling 135 miles per hour on U.S. 41 near the 39-mile marker around 10:11 p.m. When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, the rider continued southbound at high speed. The motorcycle later turned onto County Road 175 West, where the rider lost control and crashed. The 24-year-old man was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville with serious injuries. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and the rider’s name will not be released until charges are filed.
