Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Leadership Daviess County cohort, with a deadline to apply by March 1. The Purdue Extension-facilitated program is designed to develop local leaders. Participants will explore topics such as local government, economic development, education, community health, and quality of place, along with skill-building in communication, conflict management, and board service. Individuals who apply or express interest in applying by this week are also invited to a special visit to the Indiana Statehouse on February 19. The trip will include a guided tour and meetings with State Senator Eric Bassler and State Representative Shane Lindauer.
