Amazon has announced plans to build a new 104,000-square-foot delivery station in Vincennes as part of its continued expansion across Indiana. Delivery stations manage the final step of the shipping process, receiving packages from larger facilities and sending them out for local delivery. Rural stations typically employ around 170 workers, along with additional driving opportunities through partner programs. Chris Pfaff says Amazon has purchased about 30 acres in the Knox County Industrial Park, with site work already underway and construction expected to begin soon. City officials say the facility could be operational by the end of the year.
