Daviess Community Hospital will host an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR & AED course on March 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the hospital, located at 1314 E. Walnut Street in Washington. The class is designed for non-healthcare individuals who want to be prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies using CPR and an automated external defibrillator. Participants will receive hands-on instruction aimed at building confidence and lifesaving skills for use in workplaces and the community. The $50 course is free for DCH employees and is ideal for teachers, daycare providers, first responders, coaches, workplace safety officers, and community members who want to be ready to act in an emergency.
