It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Kaiser, beloved aunt, compassionate volunteer, and cherished friend, who departed this life on February 1, 2026, at the age of 90. Christine was born on July 18, 1935, in Knox County the daughter of Chalmers and Lou (Like) Jenkins. She married Clarence J. Kaiser on November 12, 1972 and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2022.

A proud graduate of Fritchton High School, Christine was elected Homecoming Queen, a testament to her vibrant personality and the affection she inspired in others. Following her graduation, she served the public diligently in the Clerk/Treasurer’s office at the Knox County Courthouse, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Faith and community were at the heart of Christine’s life. A devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish, she also attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she deepened her faith and forged lasting connections. Christine’s commitment to service extended beyond her own congregation; she volunteered with the Red Cross and contributed her time to the bereavement committee at St. Francis Xavier, offering comfort to those in need.

Christine cherished time spent outdoors, traveling with her beloved husband, and indulging in her love of shopping. A passionate animal lover, she found joy in the companionship of her pets and advocated for their well-being. As a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Lady Auxiliary, Christine dedicated herself to supporting charitable causes and the betterment of her community.

Christine is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chalmers and Lou Jenkins, her husband, Clarence J. Kaiser, her infant brother, George Jenkins, sister-in-laws, Clara Hoffman, Marie Biggs, Anna Harmon and her brother-in-laws, Charles and George Kaiser.

Friends may visit with Christine’s family from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 803 Main St., Vincennes, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at the conclusion of the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. with her nephew Rev. Gary Kaiser celebrating. Christine will be laid to rest next to her husband Clarence in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, South Knox Education Foundation or the Vincennes Pet Port.
