The change raised inpatient registered nurse pay to $33–$45 per hour and included wage adjustments across hospital and clinic departments to improve recruitment and retention. DCH leaders also credit programs like student nurse internships, tuition reimbursement, and certification assistance for building long-term interest in careers at the hospital.
