A late-night traffic stop in Bicknell led to two arrests on drug charges Tuesday. Knox County deputies stopped a pickup truck for an equipment violation near 11th and Miami Streets just before midnight. Deputies say the driver, 59-year-old Gary Padgett, dropped a container of suspected methamphetamine as he exited the vehicle. A K-9 search of the truck reportedly uncovered more than 10 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana. Gary Padgett was booked into the Knox County Jail on a Level 5 felony charge, while passenger Vicki Padgett, 46, faces a Level 6 felony. Both remain in custody. All charges are allegations, and both individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
