Daviess County Conservation Officer Named District 7 Officer of the Year

Indiana Conservation Officer Caden Graber, who serves Daviess County, has been named the 2025 District 7 Officer of the Year. Graber has served with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for three years, previously working in Putnam County before transferring to Daviess County in 2023. In addition to his regular field duties, he also serves as a public safety diver for the DNR Division of Law Enforcement. District 7 includes Knox, Daviess, Martin, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer counties. As a district winner, Graber is now eligible for the statewide Pitzer Award, presented annually to the top conservation officer in Indiana. The award is named in honor of Conservation Officer James D. Pitzer, who was killed in the line of duty in 1961.
