Naval Support Activity Crane is alerting the public to an upcoming security training exercise scheduled later this month. Naval Weapons Station Crane will take part in the annual force protection exercise Citadel Shield–Solid Curtain 2026 from Jan. 26 through Feb. 6. The nationwide exercise is designed to strengthen installation security and overall readiness. Officials say residents and visitors may notice increased security activity and should expect possible traffic congestion and delays when entering the base. All exercise operations are being coordinated with local law enforcement and first responders. Base personnel are asking for patience and encouraging travelers to plan ahead during the training period.
