Daviess Community Hospital is expanding its women’s health services with the addition of Dr. Sonya Williams, a board-certified OB-GYN, who will join the hospital in April 2026. Williams most recently served as Chief of Obstetrics at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. With labor and delivery services at GCGH ending Jan. 31, DCH says her arrival will help maintain access to local women’s healthcare in the region. DCH has also signed an agreement to serve as the primary transfer center for patients in the area and become a regional hub for women’s services. Williams provides full-spectrum OB-GYN care, including prenatal care, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, and preventive screenings. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University and completed her residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
