Daviess Community Hospital is preparing for major growth and improvements in 2026, according to CEO Justin Harris. Harris says the hospital is investing heavily in its workforce, recently announcing more than $1.6 million in wage increases and expanded employee benefits to remain competitive and retain local healthcare workers. DCH is also expanding medical services, including new urology services now available weekly, and plans to grow its OB-GYN department with additional physicians joining in the coming year to support local mothers and babies. Looking ahead, DCH will transition to the Epic electronic health record system in 2026, making it easier for patients to schedule appointments, access records, and communicate with providers. Hospital leaders say continued partnerships with neighboring hospitals will help keep more healthcare services local, reducing travel for patients.
