
Emergency crews responded Saturday morning to a property-damage crash at State Road 57 and State Road 358 near Elnora. The collision, reported around 10:36 a.m., involved a van and a pickup truck. According to dispatch notes, the van pulled out in front of the pickup. Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles, and no injuries were reported. Debris was found in the roadway, and one southbound lane of SR 57 was temporarily closed while responders cleared the scene. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage, including blown tires, requiring multiple towing companies to be contacted before wreckers were secured. Units from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Elnora Fire Department remained on scene until shortly after noon.
