
Good Samaritan has announced the appointment of Wendy Hernandez, FACHE, CHCIO, as its new Chief Administrative Officer. She steps into the role as Adam Thacker prepares to become President and CEO in January. Hernandez brings more than 20 years of health care leadership experience, including roles in hospital operations, clinical services, and performance improvement. She most recently served as System Vice President at Indiana University Health. Known for her data-driven and collaborative leadership approach, Hernandez has led major systemwide initiatives, including a $26 million cost-reduction effort and a significant decrease in readmissions. In her new role, she will oversee clinical and operational areas and support long-term strategic growth. Hernandez, an Indiana native, said she is excited to join the organization and help strengthen health care across the region.
