A 19-year-old Dale man has been arrested following a months-long investigation into allegations of rape and child molestation. According to the Indiana State Police, the investigation began in June 2025 after authorities received reports that Conner B. Madsen had allegedly raped and molested a child. The Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office later filed formal charges, and an arrest warrant was issued. Madsen was taken into custody Friday evening, October 31, after a traffic stop on State Road 62 in Saint Meinrad. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Spencer County Jail, where he is being held without bond. Madsen faces charges of Rape and Child Molesting (Level 3 felonies), Sexual Battery, and Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors (both Level 6 felonies). The arrest was made by Sergeant Teresa Vaal and ISP SWAT, with assistance from the Spencer and Perry County Sheriff’s Offices, the Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office, and Spencer County EMS.
