Bishop Emory Gene Aldrich

68e7101ac7ba0

Bishop Emory Gene Aldrich, affectionately known to most as Pete, passed away on October 7, 2025, in Washington, IN, surrounded by his family. Born in Linton, IN, on September 16, 1965, Pete leaves behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and service to the Lord and to those around him.

Pete’s journey began as a son to Gene C. and Joan A. “Pruett” Aldrich and grew into a life filled with love. He was a graduate of Washington High School and later achieved his Doctorate in Ministry from Life University. His commitment to his faith was unwavering and manifested in his role as the pastor and founder of the Lighthouse Recovery Center and as the pastor for Victory Community Church. Pete’s ministry wasn’t confined to the walls of a church; he was a guiding light to many, fostering a community of spirituality and support both in his church and his community.

On August 13, 1997, Pete married the love of his life, Tami J. “Clifton” Aldrich. Together, they created a beautiful and bustling household. Pete’s legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Tami, his beloved children Amber Crews (Derrick), Mandy Stephens (Kyle), Tiffany Jane Diamond, Tanner Aishe (Chelsey), Logan Aishe, Logan Aldrich (Anna Ragens), Maisie Aldrich (Austin Dixon), and Nathaniel Aldrich (Jayleigh Knepp); his treasured grandchildren Allie, Miley, Lexi, Israel, Noah, Finley, Hayleigh, Samuel, and Aeson; his loving siblings, Vivian Sidebottom (Jerry), April Wayman (Steve), and Chris Pruett; and his mother-in-law, Jeanie Spond. He is also survived by countless spiritual sons and daughters from Victory Community Church and the Lighthouse Recovery Center.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Gene and Alice Joan Aldrich, and his brothers, Patrick C. Aldrich and Scott Aldrich. Despite this loss, Pete’s spirit and teachings remain a pillar of faith for all who knew him.

Pete’s faith was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a spirited and passionate man who was deeply loving in every aspect of his life. A man of many interests, Pete was an avid gun collector, a hunting enthusiast, and had a fondness for dogs, motorcycles, and the company of his beloved family. His fellowship extended to the Azusa StreetRiders International, where his love for motorcycles merged with his dedication to his faith.

To know Pete was to experience his magnetic energy and his unwavering dedication to leading people out of the darkness and into the light. His powerful sermons will echo in the hearts of those he touched, and his example as a compassionate leader will continue to inspire.

Though Pete has departed from this earthly life, his spirit will forever be etched in the hearts and memories of those who loved him. Through his words, deeds, and the love he so freely gave, Pete created an indelible mark on the world that will not soon be forgotten.
