Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI) celebrated a milestone this week with the ribbon-cutting of its new Microelectronics Training Hub at WestGate@Crane Technology Park. The facility, developed in partnership with Reliable MicroSystems, LLC, is designed to give students hands-on training with advanced equipment and prepare them for careers in the microelectronics industry. As part of the launch, a student signing ceremony was held for the first cohort of the Indiana Uplands Microelectronics Academy, featuring students from Bloomfield, Loogootee, and Washington High Schools. The program is part of ROI’s newly branded workforce initiative, MOMENTUM: Indiana Uplands Microelectronics Workforce Development.
