The Property Rights Alliance will host a public meeting Thursday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at Klubhaus61 in Jasper to discuss opposition to the proposed Mid-States Corridor project. Organizers are inviting community members, not just affected landowners, to attend and share concerns and ideas. The group continues to raise objections to the highway project, citing property rights and community impact. Donations to support the effort can be made by mail, Venmo, or GoFundMe. Meanwhile, INDOT announced that Requests for Information from industry members for the next stage of the project are due by noon on Friday, September 26. The Mid-States Corridor, if built, would connect the Ohio River region to Interstate 69.
