Dr. Timothy Reid Cullen, 63, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away on September 2, 2025. Born on March 29, 1962, in Evansville, Indiana, Tim lived a remarkable life devoted to learning, service, and compassion.
Tim graduated from Evansville Day School in 1980. At just 16 years old, he earned his pilot’s license, a reflection of his drive and adventurous spirit. He first pursued accounting at the University of Southern Indiana, where he earned his degree and became a CPA, working for four years with Ernst & Whinney in Houston, Texas. His true calling, however, was medicine. After completing his pre-medicine studies at the University of Southern Indiana, he went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University in 1991.
Tim practiced both family medicine and emergency medicine for decades, caring for countless patients with dedication and compassion. Never one to stop learning, he also earned a Law Degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. He continued practicing medicine until his retirement at age 60.
Tim was the beloved son of the late Linden Reid Cullen and Joyce Hinton Cullen. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Stephen L. Cullen (Sharon) of Washington, Indiana, and their children Jennifer Cullen Boyd (Greg), Amy Cullen Archer (Aaron), and Daniel Stephen Cullen (Carol Ann); and by his sister, Charlotte Cullen Hatfield of Evansville, Indiana, and her children Chadwick Michael Cole and Lindsay DeJonge Cole. He was preceded in death by his nephew William Drew Cole.
Tim was married to Julia (Miller) Cullen, and together they shared many years of companionship. Though they did not have children, Tim’s heart was full through the love he gave to his animals. He was especially devoted to his Siberian Huskies, Sitka and Niko, who were like children to him.
To those who knew him best, Tim was more than a physician, lawyer, or accountant—he was family. His nephew, Daniel, shared a particularly close bond with him, and together they created memories that will remain forever cherished.
In keeping with Tim’s wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter, honoring his lifelong love of animals.
Tim will be remembered for his brilliant mind, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to both people and animals. His presence will be missed deeply, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
